Camp Coordinator:
Our future Camp Coordinator will be working with us from May through to October 2022, working 6hrs a week (plus Camp week, which will be a FT hour week).
They will be a young person (18-25yo) looking to get their start in the arts, working alongside the Co-Directors and Social Media Coordinator to deliver our September Rock Camp Program. Camp Coordinator will have the opportunity to shape the content of the program including booking creative workshops and booking a mixture of local and interstate artists to play at camp. They will be a friendly, familiar face during camp and be instrumental in making the camp run smoothly.
Board Member:
We are looking for two new volunteer board members who share our vision for building a strong, diverse and inclusive music community in Canberra. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the direction of a youth-focused, emerging arts organisation.
The board is responsible for providing strong governance for Girls Rock! Canberra as a not-for-profit organisation, and overarching support and guidance to the staff where necessary.
Previous board experience is desirable but not necessary. For board members without previous experience, there are opportunities to be mentored by a current board member.
Both roles are open to people of marginalised gender identities. This includes women (trans and cis), gender-diverse folk and trans-men. We recognise that gender is self-identified, and that there is a variety of language people may use to best express their experience of gender. We want our organisation to be a reflection of both our GR!C community and the wider Canberra community, and we encourage applications from people with diverse identities and lived experiences.
