Tune Up! is our new, free mentorship program for young people of marginalised gender identities including women, gender-diverse folk and trans-men (aged 15-20 years old), which will run early December 2020.

This is an opportunity for emerging musicians and young people to connect with successful members of the music community and learn from their experiences. Participants will be paired with a suitable GR!C mentor who has experience in the area that you are interested in learning more about. We will organise for you to have a one-off one-hour chat with them via Zoom (or a phone call) to talk through the things that you want to know about.

This program is suitable for young people with an emerging creative practice who are interested in further developing their practice, or seeking advice in a particular skill set in the music industry.

Our mentors are musicians and music industry professionals, who are passionate about passing on knowledge and experience to the next generation of musicians and creatives.

Location: Online, using Zoom.
Times: Tuesday December 1 – Sunday December 13 (various times available)
Participation is FREE, and all participants will receive a small inclusion stipend.

NOTE: access to a computer or device with audio/visual capabilities and internet connection is required to partake in these sessions. If you do not have access to a suitable device, please contact girlsrockcanberra@gmail.com.
