Girls Rock! Canberra is a community arts organisation working to increase the participation of girls (trans and cis), trans-boys, gender diverse young people and intersex young people in music. We create safe and inclusive spaces for young people to learn, create and collaborate through promoting inclusivity, diversity, respect and accessibility. We focus on programming for Canberra and neighbouring regional and rural areas.

Our Rock Camp program aims to provide a safe environment for girls (trans and cis), trans-boys, gender diverse young people and intersex young people (10-17 years old) to express their creativity, take pride in their accomplishments and learn not to apologise for making some noise. Our next Rock Camp will be held in the Spring school holidays, 25-29 September, at Ainslie Arts Centre – camper applications have now closed.

We ran our first program in January 2016, and have run annually since at Ainslie Arts Centre, Braddon. Sign up to our newsletter and follow us on social media to hear about future rock camp opportunities. Girls Rock! Canberra was the first Girls Rock Camp to be established in Australia, and is part of the national Girls Rock! Australia network.
